There is no official waiting period before reporting someone missing; if you are concerned, contact Law Enforcement immediately.
Time is of the essence. The first 48 hours are crucial in Missing Persons Cases. Law Enforcement needs to act quickly to gather information, interview witnesses and initiate a search.
In cases where a child is believed to have been abducted or in imminent danger, an Amber Alert may be issued, which can help locate the child quickly.
